Ale Sauce for Pies

Ale Sauce for Pies

A deliciously rich sauce made with stout, beef stock and finished with black pepper.

A hearty sauce made with stout which compliments beef perfectly.

How to use me!

Pre-heat fan assisted oven to 170C. Brown 460g of diced casserole beef over a medium heat. Pour over sauce and bring to the boil for 1 minute. Transfer to an oven proof dish, cover with foil and place in oven for 2 hours. Increase oven temperature to 190C. Remove from oven and take off foil cover. Roll out some puff pastry and place on top of the dish (cut off any excess) Place in the oven and cook for 25 minutes.

Fish Pie Sauce

Fish Pie Sauce

A rich and creamy sauce made with cheddar cheese.

We love this sauce. This is a real winter warmer, easy to make and rich and tasty - the kids will be back for seconds!

How to use me!

It's simple. Take a selection of your favourite fish (about 320g for 4 people). Pour over the sauce and top with mashed potato (about 400g) and bake until piping hot. Easy as pie!

Leek and Ham Pie Sauce

We love this really tasty sauce with turkey or chicken.

How to use me!

Pre-heat fan assisted oven to 190C. Brown 600g of diced turkey breast or thigh over a medium heat, continue to cook for 5 minutes. Pour over 450g of Leek and Ham Pie Sauce and simmer for 5-10min until meat is tender. Transfer to an oven proof pie dish. Roll out some puff pastry and place on top of the dish cutting off any excess. Place in the oven and cook for 25 minutes or until pastry has risen and is golden brown.

This is a real family favourite recipe and is perfect for a family winter warmer.

How to use me!

Pre-heat fan assisted oven to 190C. Brown 470g of diced chicken breast or thigh in a pan over a medium heat, continue to cook for 5 minutes. Pour over 450g of mushroom sauce and simmer for 5-10min until meat is tender. Transfer to an oven proof pie dish. Roll out some puff pastry and place on top of the dish cutting off any excess. Place in the oven and cook for 25 minutes or until pastry has risen and is golden brown.

Sheperds Pie Sauce

Sheperd's Pie Sauce

A delicious sauce that compliments minced lamb or beef. All you need is the mince and some mashed potato to make the perfect Shepherd's Pie.

This is so simple! Just add this fantastic tasting sauce to minced lamb or minced beef for a truly tasty pie

How to use me!

It's Simple. Take a 500g packet of lamb mince (or beef if you prefer). Brown the mince and put it into the oven dish. Pour over the sauce and top with mashed potato (about 700g) and bake until piping hot..easy as pie!
